To this Heart Naive

36

Someday I will be Free
Not tethered like the ocean to
The Moon.

But fleeting, like a desert dune.

Someday I will be Free
Not like the wind boomeranging
Within this sphere.

A whisper missed. Here. But never here.

Someday I will be Free
Not a memory tied to the air
You exhale.

Magnificent. Untired, unpale.

Someday I will be free
Not frozen like the stars across
This lonesome plain.
Maybe a drowning poetry in rain.

Maybe you’ll run compositions,
Cross oceans slated to the wind
Maybe you’ll bleed silence
To catch a fading
Whisper of my name.

But someday, I will be free
Like a Miracle…
Turning air into Gold

A wonderful story
Forever untold.
